  I am currently a student at Siena Heights University working towards obtaining a major in Computers and Information Systems as well as minors in Graphic Design and Criminal Justice. My anticipated Graduation date from Siena Heights is December 2017.
In addition to being a full time student at Siena Heights, I also work part
 time as a freelance web developer and graphic designer in between and after classes. The reason I chose to do this rather than get a more traditional college job is because I wanted to get real world experience in my fields of study before I graduated and joined the work force. In addition to this, it also helps me better learn and apply the concepts I learn in my classes.
   After completing my Undergrad, I plan to attend Graduate school and study Human Computer Interaction, a specialization of User Interface Design and User Experience (UI/UX). My career objective is to program and design intuitive and user friendly mobile phone apps, software programs, and websites

  As a Computers and Information Systems major at Siena Heights University concentrating in Web Development, my main focus through my classes has been on programming. We have covered everything from creating simple "Hello World!" programs in each language, to creating fully functioning sales databases. Through these classes I have become proficient in numerous programming languages including but not limited to:

  • Java
  • C++
  • C#
  • HTML and CSS
  • vb.Net (Visual Basic)
  • MySQL

   In addition to my programming experience in classes, I also have experience programming for clients through my freelance work. I have worked on HTML websites as well as a couple experiences with debugging C++ and C# code.

Graphic Design

  As a Graphic Design minor at Siena Heights University, I have experience in creating many different types of graphics and print media. Whether it be posters, infographics, corporate style guides, or even app mockups, I feel as though I have a wide range of experience from my time in the classroom. I have used a multitude of different design programs including but not limited to:

  • Adobe Photoshop
  • Adobe InDesign
  • Adobe Illustrator
  • Sketch
  • InVision

   As was the case with my programming skills and experience, I also have graphic design experience through my freelance work. I have been hired to create logos, create and redesign business cards, create corporate sales sheets, and create website mockups for clients, among other things.
